i guess the right way would be to put 4 gage wire to a master switch off the 12 volt output on the equlizer and then have all my 12 volt driving stuff off that, what do u think??

That would work, as long as you put a proper breaker on the 4 ga wire, and then put breakers on each of the smaller circuits coming off that.

John,

When I added the Vanner to my 4905 I ran the correct sized wire for the Vanners output to a bus bar in the existing drivers control panel.

By moving some of the unused wires and breakers I was able to free up a bus bar to use for 12vdc.

I run my headlights, LED running lights and a few convenience outlets off of it.  I used the original 24vdc controlled relays, just repowered them with 12vdc as the pass through voltage.

Each circuit is breaker-ed off of the bus bar and I have a main fuse off of the Vanner.

Best of Luck

Dont forget to consider the Amp capacity of your equalizer

I have 100 amp with breakers and a 12v panel that was there hooked up.
It's all fun and games til someone gets hurt. ;)
