Chaz,
We try to keep the seminars bus conversion or travel related, but I think blacksmithing might be intertesting. Since I know no one more experienced at this art, are you volunteering to do a seminar?
We had a mig welding seminar several years ago the was followed by a chance to weld with a welding professional watching and teaching.  Several of the ladies were among those who tried their hand at welding.  Jack

Jack the way I see it blacksmithing is sorta conversion related. Ever had to fabricate something that was either cost prohibitive or unavailable of the local Walmart/Home Depot shelf? Also on another note, if a guy named smith is working under a bus, he'll be a "Black Smith" when he gets done and comes back out from under it! LOL! ;D  BK  ;D

Actually, I was just going to tell the ladies how to do it and let them go to town with it!!  ;D lololol
Actaully, I'd love to do a demo if you felt it was something worth while but I'm not too sure i can make it down. If I get the WVO part of my bus done (doesn't look too likely) I would be able to pull it off.
Blacksmithing seems to be a much better "spectator sport".  ;) But I love being a player!!

  Nuttin hotter'n a blacksmith!!   :P

2.5# (not as strong as I was)
Hey to me nothing is more comforting than to take a 5# hammer beating a rhythm on cherry red metal while humming a gospel!
OK so it maybe horseshoes but ya got to start somewhere...  :)

Right on Skip!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, I would consider it more of a "spectator sport". Not many people feel comfortable handling yellow hot steel and swinging a hammer. But I love it!!
Oh, sorry, not into gospel....................... Heavy Metal!!!  :D LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

   Hammerin,

I can think of a lot of topics for seminars.
1. Polishing stainless
2. converting to WVO
3.Rebuilding an 8v92
4. Installing hydronic heat
5. Painting a bus
6. Putting graphics on a bus
7. Diagnosing and fixing electrical components

For the ladies
1. house cleaning in a bus
2. Quilt making (Uncle Ned's wife could teach)
3. Buying groceries for 1 person
4.Cooking for one person.
5. How to do the above without making a mess
6. Orginization 101

And the nice thing about all of these is I would volunteer my bus for each of these seminars

Great ideas!  Maybe I should have put more emphasis on the part about anyone interesed in doing a seminar or craft. Any takers? I talked to a man in Orlando about a DD seminar, am waiting to hear back from him.  I am also trrying to line up a road side fix seminar and a quiet generator seminar. we also try to always have an "computer type" seminar such as internet access while traveling, virus and spyware dangers, etc. I will see what I can do on some of the other subjects. Jack,

Hope your event goes well again this year. Sounds like you are really going to have quite a get-together!

Have fun, wish we could be there, maybe the next one.

Happy Trails,

Paul
