Nice bus, but at $35k, I wouldn't pay half that. Too many nice MCI's around for way less dough.

Is it not unusual to have a seated coach with roof airs and genset?

It's not unusual out here in the 115 heat in AZ and Las Vegas to see that setup in a seated coach.I bought a MCI 9 in 2000 that had 3 roof airs and a generator from a tour operator in Vegas it also had a good working bus air and with all the new idling laws going into effect look for more

Songman...very nice post about the Eagle. Thank you. The rooftop A/C units with an APU (gen) make sense in a very hot climate like on the planet Vulcan or perhaps Bakersfield California. That way you don't have to fast idle the main warp engine and can use the auxillary fuser instead. What? Time for more wine please.

I don't know about that particular bus but I have seen one Air Force Eagle that was so meticulously maintained you could eat off the engine (or the floor).

according to the serial number Teke wins the brass ring, thats not very many miles for a 18 year bus and 900 hours on the generator is not bad it will bring 30 from some Eagle guy. 2 draw backs to me would be 1 a ZF transmission and 2 it's a model 20 they are impossible to upgrade the engine compartment with out major modifications and cost so you are stuck with the 6v92 unless you have deep pockets. Also rust will not be a issue on that bus

Hi luvrbus,
Where do you get the idea that this bus has a ZF transmission? The ad states that this bus has an "Allison Automatic Transmission".
Thanks, Sam 4106

sweeperman,
For links there is nothing special to do. Just copy and paste the URL in and the forum makes the link automatically. For adding pictures and such it is a little different though.

Sam look at a photo of the dash and you will see the ZF touch pad on the left side he also states the bus is a level floor and it's not have a good day

Hi luvrbus,
Thanks for the explanation. I am not interested in that bus, or any other bus, but I would like to know why a ZF transmission is a draw back?
Thanks, Sam 4106
