I want to say thank you to our veterans on the board. It doesn't matter how you served, or where, but some of us truly appreciate your efforts. It is a frightening thought to think where our country would be without what you have given to us. Please know you have my heartfelt appreciation for serving our country. My thanks also to the spouses of those that served as they have given a lot also.

Yes, thanks to all of our military veterans. You guys have done us some great services, by protecting our country. Whether it be in the Vietnam war, or in the War in Iraq. You all have fought for keeping us safe!!! Thanks!!!

I too want to say a big THANK YOU to all veterans, no matter when or where you served. Jack

I also would like to thank our vets for the service they have performed for our continued freedom.
And to add to that,
I would like to thank our Canadian Veteran neighbors, who have stood shoulder to shoulder along side our troops.
On NBC News last night I watched as a Canadian military transport plane landed and the casket was unloaded containing the body of a soldier who was killed by an IED in Afghanistan.
Even though it wasn't advertised, all along the road of the 100 mile trip to the final resting place, people spontaneously stod alongside the road, on top of over passes and wherever they could see the hearse pass by. With flags and heads held high, some saluting, some with tears, all reverent at the passing of another lost portion of the future.
Thank you All Veterans for what you have given us .

I also wish to offer heartfelt gratitude to America's Veterans!
Terri and I attended a Veteran's Day benefit at Monroe Corporate Airport. They had a pretty decent small airshow. In attendance were a group of 8 airplanes disguised as Japenese Zeros. They were the built for and used in the film Tora-Tora-Tora and the Pearl Harbor invasion.
Percussion bombs and fuel explosions timed to the Zeros flying over in battle formation were set up. They eventually had aircraft flying all over the place blowing things up. Lots of smoke and noise.
To say the least, that part of the show left me right conflicted. Young folk thought it was great entertainment.
My thoughts were to shoot them down...I got over that.
There were hundreds of retired military dressed in uniforms. Many 90+ years old attended the hanger dance on Saturday night.
High spot was a B1 flyover on Saturday afternoon. I don't believe that B1s are used for low altitude bombing runs, but it would work. You don't hear it until it passes overhead. There were lots of other high spots...P-51s, A-26, a real Berlin airlift C-54, half dozen AT6s, SNJs,SBDs, B-25, A-26, FW149s (a fleet of these things), and 8 of those damed Zeros. And there was a perfect little Beech like Amelia Airhart (sp?) flew.
About 50 antique flying military aircraft in all. Most flown by Veterans.
Those old radial warbirds make a wonderful noise! So do those P-51s!
