Hello to all
I have a lot of play in my steering. I have checked out all of the moving parts and it looks like I have lotts of play in the sheppard gear box. Does any one know where I can get my gear box rebuilt ? Luke is trying to come up with a source but I thought maybe some one could get me a name.

A company named Red Head Steering Gears has been highly recommended to me to rebuild steering gears. 888-565-9105 $375 plus about $120 shipping both ways is what they told me. The only extra they mentioned was $100 something if the shaft is bad.
As part of the rebuild they replace the recirculating balls with slightly larger ones to get better performance.
Ths is high on my list of things to do along with a new driver's window and possibly a new entrance door (If I can find one.) I would need to pay for removal and reinstall so I would probably be out closer to $1000 when it is done.
