Was wondering how big of an inverter can I safely run on a 6.2 diesel? ???sorry forgot to mention brand new 100 amp alternator & no ac.

I don't know how big a light bulb will a solar panel light
How fast will a car go
How big is big after it is small
I don't understand your question please rephrase it.
Thank You

it's more like how much inverter do you need, but i'm quite sure you can charge your batteries with the generator you listed. a 2000 or 2500 can charge up even with only a 15amp shared shore power, so the generator should be fine. i've set my 2000w inverter/charger to use 15a shore power so that i can keep computers, refrig, and tv on without blowing a breaker.
does that help?

Depends on big the alternator is and how long you want to run it. Jack

With a 100 amp alternator at full output, you get about 1400 watts. So you could support a 1400 watt inverter continuously assuming no other loads. Generally you use a large battery bank to store energy to supply the inverter for less than full time use and recharge the bank while the engine is running. As with any bank if your withdrawls exceed your deposits, you end up broke.

What is the duty cycle of the new 100amp alternator?
What are you wanting to operate?
What is the capacity of your battery bank?

only 2 truck battery's .

Hey CB now we are getting somewhere
the duty cycle is how long you can run the alternator at full load
Like 50 percent duty cycle means that you can draw 100 amps for a surge at start up but the more realistic number would be 700 watts for continuous load.
