Title: planned trip
Post by: Don Fairchild on July 20, 2009, 03:43:02 PM
as of today this the plan. I will leave Bako between the 18th and 20th of Sept. travel to bontrangers to see if I can find a new coach and chairs, maybe some new windows if I can find double pane that will fit. Then on to Bk's for the weekend. from there to WV then down to the Carolina's for the week end to see family then to the see board and follow it all the way to the Mexico boarder finding shops that work on DDC marine engines and or there owners then home some time Oct.

Hi Don, If you ever get through Abilene, look us up!

Have a safe and fun trip, looks like you're gonna put some miles down.

Come to Mexico Don.  2-strokes are current technology SOB.  I figure my antique is safest down there cuz every second mechanic still knows how to work on them.  None of that new-fangled series 60 stuff for the old Dinas.

Hi Don,  What part of the Carolinas. There are several of us bus nuts here.   By the way, the Jakes I bought from you work great!

Don, have you decided on where you are going to relocate to?  I was thinking about it and Quartzsite seemed like a good choice. Still close to CA. for you, ..... right where a major ( I-10 ) east/west freeway crosses a major  north/south hiway (95).  Lots of busnuts passing thru during the fall/winter/spring. Hot during the summer but probably not much more than Bako?  And besides i will probably need you to do some work on my bus on our way to Yuma this fall. ;D

Don,
    Please keep us posted as you travel. We plan to be in West Virginia, Virginia and the Carolinas during Sept. & October.  Maybe our paths will cross (perhaps a meal together if our path cross?)  Jack

Jack;

That would be great, I'd like to meet up and bend an elbow together.  Ed I've not looked for a new place very hard yet, I have been waiting for this trip to BK's to look around for potential places. I have not looked at Q-site, I am really tired of the heat. I grew up on the desert and would like to find some place with a little green.

On Tuesday we do our testing for c.a.r.b. with our marine engines, once we pass and c.a.r.b. signs off on it
I can start looking with a purpose.

Don -

If you're gonna be that far east, you've GOT to go by and see Luke & his crew in NJ!

Don,

We are on I-10 close to the flying J  Just over the boarder from Louisiana. If I'm home we can check out a few truck salvage places for engines in Houston.
