Title: Fantastic Fan Vents
Post by: bevans6 on July 21, 2009, 01:03:06 PM
I have three Fantastic Vents in my bus.  When I bought it a couple of months  ago, I kind of tested them, the battery was almost dead, they spun around, I said "ain't that cute" and proceeded to rip all of the wiring out of the bus, install a roof-top AC where the front Fantastic Vent was, reinstall it as a vent over the cooktop/stove, and rewire everything.  So six weeks later I discovered that the front fan, the one I moved, had obviously been left open in the rain for some time at some point and had a very noisy motor.  I looked around, asked at the local RV store, looking for a replacement motor or some way to get out of buying a whole new unit.  So today I call up Fantastic Vent company, ask for tech support and ask about getting a new motor.  He asks a couple of questions, takes down my address, I say is Visa OK, he says no, I'm sending you a complete new fan/motor assembly, all you do is four screws out from the top, re-attach the wires, and it's done.  I  ask, how am I paying for this, he says that product has a lifetime warranty and we mean it.  I said, I'm not the original owner, and for all I know he bought them used at a flea market.  He said expect your new fan/motor in four to five business days and if you ever have any further questions or problems, now you know who to call!

To say that I was astounded is understating the case.  I kind of wish I needed another one so I could go out and buy one, but sadly three is enough!

Just thought I'd share...

Brian

I've had the same experience with them, a great way to do business.

Fantastic Vents have always operated that way they have replaced the covers on mine 3 times at FMCA rallies sent a guy out to install them for me free of charge even when a tree limb broke 2. You will never find a Co that stands behind their product like Fantastic does.     good luck

They are a top notch company and the price you pay is well worth it.

They replaced a broken housing for me up in Canada, no questions asked

They have my full recommendation and any of my future business

Regards,

Ross

I called them today, and asked about whether we need to put that big ugly shroud over the vent. The guy said that they recommend against it, and don't bother. He went on to say that if anything happened that they would take care of us.

I haven't even installed ours, but I am sold already ;D.

God bless,

John

I bought some SHURflo fans while in Elkhart at a good price.  (thanks Trina)   I pulled one out of the box, plugged it in and after cycling twice it went TU.  I called SHURflo and had almost the exact conversation with a tech guy.  Without question (other than troubleshooting) he sent me a brand new circuit board via Fed Ex.

I'm guessing that competition in the RV exhaust fan market keeps both these vendors on their toes.

Thanks for the heads up, we have two also and really like them, good comment for a change! ;)

I also had a great experience with Zip Dee, just thought I would pass that along!

Maybe we should have a "Vendor Great Experiences" Thread so all the good guys get recognized! We certainly hear about all those that don't pass the mustard!

I've had the same experience with Fantastic Vents CS.

I have three 6000 RBTA fans and anytime I've called, they couldn't have been more helpful.

It's very doubtful I'll be buying anymore fans, but if I do, they will be Fantastic.
