Since my first look into a bus flopped with the help of many here. Thank You!

Turns out the guy found a buyer and sold it for $3,500. $1,250 more than he offered me, but I think just as well in the end, and good for him.
So, I'm now looking further to see what I can find. Checking lots of bus sales, etc. Doing as much research, and trying to just see what's out there.
I came across this one: http://www.sawyersbusinc.com/mci/84mci963.html (http://www.sawyersbusinc.com/mci/84mci963.html)
It's at Sawyer Bus in Roanoke, VA. Anyone know anything about them?
Looks to be a conversion that someone started, and didn't finish but it does include some things I'd have to buy anyway a/c, generator, tanks, leather furniture.
Just from the picture I know I'd probably have to gut the inside and start over, but at least it's an automatic to start with. Would need the door changed (don't know how big a deal that might be), and paint at some point. Probably reskin it / replace windows.
Any thoughts?

I saw that one on ebay a while back and if I remember right it topped out at 1500 and then didn't meet the reserve, hard to forget the checkerboard refrigerator or the oil puddle lol
-
The "conversion" is pretty shoddy and would need a complete redo. (Granted, my interior is not great, but better than that.)
You gotta love the fake wood paneling that looks like it belongs in a finished basement from the 70s or 80s.

It's a shame the mattress isn't included lol.
-
I liked the paneling in the "bedroom" where none of the lines matched up.
I know it would have to be gutted. I was just trying to look past what it is today.

MrD,
Oh my your bit hard "I was just trying to look past what it is today" Just a helpful hint
Don't use the word "potential" I did when I was looking at buses............that is now one of the restricted
words I'm not allowed to use anymore :)

I know I just need to be patient, and at some point I'll find what I'm looking for.
Like everyone says, I'll just know.

I noticed a advantage to this one. It said that the fuel lines, for the generator, were already run into the fuel tank ::) ::) ::) Great news... ;D ;D ;D.
God bless,

:) We saw that bus on line back in Jan.09 when we were shopping. Looked like a gut job and why is the back paint peeling. Looks like it got hot?????? Good Luck, M&C

It's not too far along to regut, and that paneling could use some brick paneling to go with it. ;D There are parts like you said, new furniture up front.(Price that stuff,) Get a mech to checkit out, pay extra for there high dollar checkout ;), that
also that mattress is a sign you'll be needing new shocks and airbags on the rear and tag axles :D

:D :D :D :D That was great. I agree, the mattress looks a little worn out. What do you think...Do you all think that it is a Beauty rest, or a Sleep number???? ;D ;D ;D
Actually, you could sell it on craigslist. I can just see the add. "Only $500 Slightly used antique Sleep number mattress. This is in mint condition, except for a couple of slight tears on the fabric. Reupholstering this wouldn't be too hard. Materials may cost you 20....I just didn't want to hassle with that. Somebody could get this, and fix it up, and sell it for 750. This is a great money making thing. Hurry, this is priced to sell. This won't last long. Must sell ASAP." ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I have seen so many of these kind of adds ;D.
God bless,
John
