Title: Anyone buy anything from shop4seats? good? bad?
Post by: Darkspeed on October 27, 2015, 03:52:33 PM
A friend sent me a link to these guys, anyone know if the seats are good quality? or is there a better place for driver / passenger seating?

Im guessing the integral seatbelt models are for swivel bases?

I like Flexsteel but they are out of my price range > http://www.flexsteel.com/for-recreation/motor-home/bucket-seats (http://www.flexsteel.com/for-recreation/motor-home/bucket-seats)

my favorite being this one > http://www.flexsteel.com/product/scopan-267-busr (http://www.flexsteel.com/product/scopan-267-busr)

I guess there is also some euro salvage yard options..

That outfit goes by several different names like discount van for one, their furniture is ok about the same as Flexsteel lower end furniture the problem is his delivery time sucks.

I am not a big fan of Flexsteel my ultra leather is starting to peel off and the electric foot rest gives me problems. For the money difference I would go with the above for top of the line go with Villa  JMO

I have a NOS Flexsteel 100% leather drivers seat with built seat belt and power base in gray I'll sell for 500 bucks + shipping

I was looking at different seating systems for a writing table/mini-office-nook for my bus and I downloaded S4S's catalog.  I has some email correspondence with their customer service people and was favorably impressed.  Unfortunately, I became slightly "financially embarrassed" before I could actually place an order so the whole idea sorta withered away.  Dunno if that helps much ...

Found this > https://www.trustpilot.com/review/shop4seats.com (https://www.trustpilot.com/review/shop4seats.com)

https://www.trustpilot.com/review/4seating.com (https://www.trustpilot.com/review/4seating.com)

The company is actually:

EuroTec Seating
http://4seating.com/ (http://4seating.com/)
1000 S Euclid St, La Habra, CA 90631
4seating.com
(800) 407-8665

I think that dicountvantruck.com is an unrelated company

We got the passenger seat and the couch from them. I think they are very good. The passenger seat has a power foot rest, the couch came in 5 pieces and was therefore easy to get it the bus and then was easy to put together it also has heat and vibration functions and my wife loves it.  It was shipped one day after they said it would be shipped and it was shipped to my door. They did good buy us.

Why not buy some used Escalade seats and make pedestals? 8way power, adjustable lumbar, and heated AND cooled. Glove soft leather.

the front seats in my 102 were made by Mastercraft, but nor the boat company. they probably were pricey but are nice. they only do on order i believe. they have the seat belts built in. works for me. you pick what you want and they make it. web site innovationandvalue.com i believe.

I bought a co-pilot seat from them about a year ago. Delivery was on time (approx 4 weeks) the Quality was OK but not the same as my Flex Steel 6 way. The product rotates, tilts and reclines as I would expect and the color matches the rest of my interior. Hope this helps

I would also recommend going with Villa. I bought Flexsteel chairs and went thru a nightmare of terrible sewing/stuffing on ultra expensive custom made captains' chairs. Sent the first pair back to the company. What quality control? They were replaced - better, but still not up to what I expected from a top of the line company. You don't want to make excuses to your visitors for the poor craftsmanship cause you saved a few bucks. Go with Villa, bought my sleeper/couch from them. They care about their quality and it shows in their attention to detail. Incorporated seat belts are better design too. Good Luck Gerry H

Thanks Gerry, This Villa? > http://www.villainternational.com/products/index.htm (http://www.villainternational.com/products/index.htm)

What did you pay for them? If you dont mind me asking....

I do like the integrated seat belt!

Anyone else use villa? Never heard of them before...

looks good but there is little to no info on their website..

I did once come across some huge double wide motorhome seats on a tour and some of their photos look like pretty big seats but it could be an optical illusion.

I am going back to Villa me or the wife don't care for Flexsteel after having Villa for so many years I loved my big Villa drivers seat.

The higher end converters all use Villa furniture

Bradd and Hall sells the Villa along with Flexsteel

I have first pic seat .I got it in 2006 at r v warehouse $ 500 each got 2 . I had to put some more hard foam on the seats because it was way to soft ....but no big deal it was easy ... after that they have been great for years still have them to day

don,t know how old they were then I bought them but they were new . but the one in the pic is identical to mine

Villa cost a little more than Flexsteel but well worth it IMO

Yes that Villa! Villa IS the top of the line, and as said, high end convertors use them. I paid over $1600 each for my Flexsteel captains chairs, wish I had gone with the Villa to start with. I assumed I'd get a perfectly made chair. Did not enjoy the mess I got in with Flexsteel. Villa's are probably slightly more costly than Flexsteel in general. I bought my chairs and couch thru Bradd & Hall. Shipping was reasonable and quick, return shipping paid by them, but they should have caught the "bad pair of chairs" before shipping them out. It was a Flexsteel issue not Bradd & Hall. Chairs come in multiple sizes, so it's not an illusion. Think John Madden. Villa can build them any size you want. Gerry H

Go to an RV dealer and look at their top of the line RV coaches. You should find some to "try" Gerry H

I understand. My wife and I did it to see the differences between products used by convertors. You're doing research before buying. Around here, they sometimes are in the middle of removing furniture and swapping out to something else they have received and the pullouts are re-sold. You never know what you'll find, but it won't last long. Go Look!  We go to the RV shows every year to see what's new and being used in the different models. Gives you ideas. Gerry H

Look at highway tractor seats too. All the truck parts supply stores have them on the floor to sit in and try. Some of them are quite nice. They have them on sale once in a while. Or the truck wreck yards.

If you decide that is toooo much to put in seating.  Look at 2nd row toyota sienna seats. Lots of handy cap converters have them for a few hundred each new.. or on web for 450-500 pair.  Easy to go to car dealer and see how they sit.  I have the Bolstram (sp) seats like we have in semi tractors.  If your the only driver the fully adjustable in my case is a waste of money.  Just another option. Morefire has a picture of sienna seats in his busproject post.  Bob

Those are interesting! My goal is to have 4 identical seats ( 3 of them recliners )
