Thanks Clifford, we will be in N O in a day or two. Still in Lafayette. We went to the Blue Dog Cafe tonight. Had crab cakes, crab stuffed mushrooms, and sea food gumbo. Oh so good! The pecan pie is good too... Went to the Tabasco factory on Avery Island, saw the gardens there too. Then Jefferson Island. All those swamps and bayous are sure different country... The Acadian culture is also very interesting, especially for a french guy like me. To think they went from France to Nova Scotia, then were chased away by the British, so they came here to la Louisiane 300 years ago. Then were sold by Napoleon to the Americans (the Louisiana purchase, 1803, for $15 million). They don't speak much french anymore, but their taste for good food has endured over the generations. Amazing!

So now I hijack Clifford's thread telling you (JC) that we don't believe that you really are eating all that good food unless there are pictures like this with Bob of the North and Marilyn and seafood in Rocky Point.

That fish was the first thing I thought of when I saw your Rocky Point thread.
