Title: Dump valves
Post by: flynbanjo on March 26, 2019, 01:19:33 PM
I am about to install a BigFoot leveling system on my MC9. I would like to add a couple of dump valves in the air system to dump the air out of the airbags before engaging the leveling system. As anyone installed such valves on an MC9 and if so any advice on part numbers for the valves?

I believe you are talking about "pilot valves"? They come in both electric and air operated. Which type will you be using?
This is an example of an air operated one ... https://www.fleet-products.ca/90054079-g-pilot-valve/

With careful planning you could plumb the system to include a fail safe that would automatically defeat the dumping action while the parking brake is released. Usually you can tell right away if the air is dumped out of the air ride but perhaps not always?
