Hi there everyone!
I have been thinking about where I wanted to resume the second revival of the bus, and I decided it would be wise to finish the switch wiring and tackle the dash.
There are a couple of frame pieces I want to replace, under the windshield. Does anyone know a good source for the steering wheel support tubes and angle pieces? Someone suggested handy angle, but he isn't a bus nut, and the OEM pieces didn't have holes. Luke maybe?
Also, has anyone ever replaced the E-Brake air tank and the piece just above it?
I have the parts manual...I just need a source...as well as any suggestions you all would be willing to share.

You'll just be making up your own new parts.
The MC8 were horrible for rotting behind the front skins.
Make up a radius jig for the shape of the coach front before you tear into it, so you have something to work from.
It is not uncommon to pull the front skins off, repair all the structure, and re-skin.
IBP in Florida still makes up exact replacement skins, matching the fluting on yours.
Fred Hobe's site had some pics of an mC8 with its face removed.

There are several good online sources for tubing such as speedymetals and metalsonline that I use. Should be able to find something close enough.

Thanks so much for the info.
I have a general idea for dash design, but I might take Gary's advise and order one. I'm going to pull the welder out when I get the rest of the switches in, so I am grateful for the lead on the steering tubes.
I'm really surprised, but as of now, I only need to replace three small pieces in the front face frame, and one on the driver side. The rear frame was nearly perfect...just added a coat of the red paint. Here's hoping that's all there is.
