Looking at replacing the dash on my MCI 7 with a custom instrument one. I have a 8V92 so any ideas on where is the tack hooked up as well as oil and hot engine ( 2 of them) lights. It will have a GPS speedometer as well as oil, temp, air pressure, and fuel so any help or ideas will be appreciated. I am assessing which of the idiot lights of the 21 which are in the rectangle panel on the lower left side to keep.
Thanks
ED

for the Tach I'm using the R terminal on the alternator, I think I tapped it at the relay in the back. I had to run my own wire for it, not sure if yours came stock or you're adding one.

Many places to be legal you need a low air light, as well as the buzzer. You should have a no-gen light, and a volt meter. Turn signal lights, headlight on and high beam, all I can think of off the top of my head. I don't have nor miss a tach.

FWIW...
I would keep the Low Oil, Low Air, Not-Gen, Emergency Brake, and headlights on/high beams.

You pretty much nailed it. I plan on keeping several more just have not decided which ones yet. I will read the book on gauges in the Bus Conversion Magazine and not be in a hurry.
