Title: Seeking Information on "Windraker"
Post by: cammonsd on February 20, 2007, 03:20:25 PM
I am looking for any information on a recently-purchased conversion built by Mobile Design Group on a 1988 Prevost Chassis.  It was featured as Miss January, 1995 in Bus Conversions.  The article was authored by Sandy Bargsten and entitled, "Windraker."  The original owners were Marlaina and Eugene Johnston of Hollywood, CA.  A search of the web reveals nothing, so I turn to the true experts.  I have no evil intentions, only wish to preserve this extraordinary piece of architecture and her history.  Any ideas?  Thanks.  Dave

The bus was built by Tom Winterhalter and his brother Joe. Tom married Sandy and are now living in the OK OK area. He does read the board on occasions. You might try directory assistance for his number or call Dennis at Bus Conversions Magazine at 714 799 0062 and ask him if he has it... call M-F 8 - 2 PST.

PS I remember the bus being a very nice coach as used very little!

Thanks so much.  I really thought I was going to lose her history.  Yes, it's a nice coach, aging well, but still aging.  But, then, aren't we all?  Thanks, again.  Dave
