That old Eagle was supposedly very corroded, to the point it was going to be scrapped anyway.   I wonder how well a non-corroded Eagle (is there such a thing?) would have fared.   I suspect that it's curtains if you hit something unyielding at almost any real speed, especially if it's a small contact area.   Who was the busnut here who lost his legs when his Eagle rear-ended something a few years ago?

no bus has much protection on the front they are engineered for passenger safety the driver very seldom walks away from a bus crash, that was Dan that lost his legs

It's his property so he can do what ever he wants with it.  On the other hand the whole episode  just makes me sick.  Nothing learned, no science, no nothing.  Hopefully I never have to have contact with the guy--just my opinion which as usual often misses the mark.  Jack

You got to give him credit.  It took a lot of effort to make that video.  Foolin' around with an old bus, and that 8v71 sounded so sweet.

I'm baffled by how anyone could possibly take pleasure from deliberately destroying any piece of machinery.  The newest vehicle in my yard is 12 years old. I spent the whole week getting a 40+ year old tractor ready to roto-till gardens in our little village. All that time and effort just to destroy something and make a huge mess that - presumably at least - he now has to clean up is just beyond my comprehension.

Hollywood does it all the time.

So does that video demonstrate the correct method of getting unstuck? ::)
That 8v71, though, at full throttle does sound good.

Makes me sick that someone would destroy a piece of equipment fir no reason. Shows you can't fix stupid unless he was killed in crash

I wonder if the spare tire was down below, that might have made a little difference.  :o

I'm sure they made a couple of runs first with the steering wheel tied to make sure their aim was right on! Good Luck, TomC

I guess I'm not a fan of destroying things that are good. But after looking at some of the structural issues due to rust, they probably didn't loose to much while they were having fun. The whole goal was to get people like us to watch and that seems to have worked.

Judging from the r-front wheel action my guess would be that the spare was there.

Too much time on your hands, and too much junk lying around with no purpose. Like blowing up 55 gallon drums in our youth. Why? Well why not?
