Hello to all:
Does anyone know of a person who can rebuild my MT644 Allison transmission.
It's in a 1976 MCI 5B which just blew the rear main bearing gasket and the engine will be pulled so as the expensive saying goes. " Well while you have it out, you might as well rebuild etc.."
Thanks
Rick

Find a shop that will exchange your transmission you don't won't a shop opening and rebuilding your transmission it can get exspensive in a hurry, you should be able to remove the transmission without removing the engine all depends on the cross member location

I don't remember for sure the name but I think it's WW Williams that has a rebuilding location in Columbus, GA.
They had the best prices/warranty of anywhere in the country back when we were in the charter business. Our local Allison dealer used them.
