My name is Simon and I am a busaholic. Please help me with my expensive pastime. So last year I bought a BlueBird AARE, did a roof raise, cut the bottom out, put in a generator and underfloor storage and finally have it at a shop getting some new lightweight wheels and tires, 'Cause you can never have a light enough bus, right?! Well, screw it, I wanted the bling factor!
Thanks for having me aboard!

Some more pictures.
Generator is on a custom made slide.
Windows will get cut out once wall thickness is determined to order proper sized trim rings. Going for dual pane RV windows.

Need to do something about that shiny engine.
I have a old 6/71 that i might part with to take care of that.

Well, the first thing I did was work on the engine and bay. Replaced all hoses and almost all of the hydraulic lines for good measure, sealed up small leaks and detailed it. Doubtful it would look as nice after a few trips!

Hello!
We are glad you have joined us. You sure have done some nice things to that bus. Can't wait to watch your progress.

I wanted to update this thread. I have been propositioned to sell the bus. After much deliberation and several months, we decided to sell it to an awesome couple and their two beautiful kids. They will have a conversion company finish what I started and fine tune it to fit their family. I am excited for them and will post updates as they send them to me to keep this one alive.
