I somehow lost the amber cover off the dome marker light above the driver on my last little journey? It is right over my driver seat, also known as the "didn't hit a tree branch" side, and they snap on tight? Oh well. Parts elves took it I guess. Spent a while on the computer and exactly what I needed at less than half the price of others, and a genuine Grote light! They also carry some pretty cool retro exterior lights if you have an older bus. Very helpful was Adam Sadler in charge of sales at drivetrainamerica.com or phone at 319-896-5619.

Altho I didn't get them from your source, I just received my shipment of twelve Grote G4603 amber LED clearance/marker lights for the running lights and turn signals along the sides of my coach. Installed the first pair today, and boy are they BRIGHT! There's no way someone won't be able to see my turn signals anymore in the daylight, that's for sure! Seven bucks and change each off Amazon with free shipping.
I see that Grote also makes the wedge clearance/marker lights in LED, too. G5052 is red, G5053 is amber.

I have a two marker lights that look a little dimmer than others. Now that I know way too much about them, will try replacing bulbs first. Cover plates are a trick to get off without breaking if they are old, but the bulbs are easy. For my bus it was 46792 for red and 46793 for Amber. The bulbs for these things are 1893 and I ordered a dozen.
I was also lucky because previous owner gave me 2 extra brand new marker lights in a zip lock, but no covers. Guessing he used the covers when he scraped one off on a tree limb or two. But having the marker light in hand got me the part number easier than doing the great Walenda thing on the ladder trying to read a small number.
I liked the old retro lights on the website I sent. Don't know where I'd mount them, but cool stuff. Maybe one of those 50's looking lights on Rita's Subaru?

Being caught and having to drive a few hours after dark LED's are bright on the front and rear,lol I developed a big dislike for bright LED's some LED head lamps were so bright on dim you could see up a bugs @$# at a 1/2 mile.They are not to bad with other lighting around but in the desert with no lights they are hard on the eyes

I know what you mean - all these macho guys running around in their jacked up 3/4 ton pickups with LED headligts are a PITA for me in my little VW!
I'm glad that the JW Speaker-brand LED headlights I just installed on the bus have optics that are far closer to E-Code specs than the lousy DOT standards. They've got a sharp cut-off to the left, but throw a lot of light down the right side, so virtually no glare to oncoming traffic - as it should be.

I've got to do the great Walenda to fix a couple of dead upper clearance lights, one in front, and one in the rear. The fronts are wedge-style, the rears are rectangular, Bosch, I believe. I'll probably replace the front ones with the Grote wedges I mentioned earlier, not sure yet what I'm going to do on the rear.

They are illegal already.
If you are being blinded, the lights won't be found with any DOT, SAE oe E-code ratings... and if they are, the dolt behind them didn't aim them correctly when he slapped them in there.
Busnuts, do your part! Only purchase lighting that meets standards, so you don't become "a blinder"

The ones I purchased (JW Speaker Evolution2 8910s) are DOT and SAE approved - I just haven't adjusted them per DA BOOK yet - primarily because I haven't moved the coach since May, and won't be moving it until the end of October.
But I've found a nice flat, unlit parking lot beside a building with plenty of room so I can maneuver the coach in order to adjust them properly.
The other thing I like about the JW's, besides their approval, is the fact they're "Made in the USA" - not off-shore. They also have 5.25" and 7" round lights, plus the atrocious 4"x6" rectangulars, and many more models.
Not cheap, but what price SAFETY??
