I just checked mine. How can you tell if they are good or not? Do you measure the tread depth or what?

Rule of thumb- - - - don't run tires more than 10yrs. check the DOT codes on most tires.

We run tires older than 10 years on the rear duals if they pass visual inspection - the steers get the new tires then moved to the rear. No issues in 43 years aside from a couple rear fails in that same amount of time. We carry and change our own spare tire.
