I may have asked this before or read about it before here, but how do I determine if my engine or system is DD-15 or DD-III or IV, or other DD? Is it based on the engine serial number or the VIN? Thanks in advance!

2002 will have a DDEC IV the IV was from 1998 to 2003 ? DD-15 was a engine that came on the market in 2011 replacing the series 60,If your D4500 has the Detroit series 60 they were 12.7L 400 hp from the factory
