Title: Factory built motor coach conversions using MCI 9 chassis in 1979 / 1980?
Post by: after54yearsOTR on August 13, 2024, 10:57:39 AM
I'm trying to find out if anyone here knows the name of a manufacture who built conversion motor homes on new MCI 9 chassis back in late seventies or early 1980's? I have a 1979 MCI 9 with less than 200,000 miles that's been a motor home ever since new however I'm trying to find a paper trail or a manufacture name that used to convert these new chassis back in the day..  Any help would be deeply appreciated, thanks everyone...

A place in PA near me might have, Hoffman Motor coach.  They no longer do conversions, just work on RVs and used conversions.  I know they did some MCIs and Prevosts.

If the cabinet faces are Formica it might have been Custom Coach but they are out of business too.

Thanks everyone for responding. I have a few ideas now. I believe someone told me Liberty used to do MIC and placed the aluminum name plate "Private Coach" on both sides of the ones they built.. :^
