Post by: nukewrk on October 16, 2024, 08:10:50 AM
Bus not currently not running, how can I fill air brake supply from electric compressor. Is there a aux air supply connection?
Bus was converted new from Custom Coach in Columbus, Ohio
Thanks,

Most of the MCI's, if not all, have Schrader valve for adding air.  It is usually located inside the passenger side, side engine door on the bulkhead wall. It will air up your whole air system including the air bag suspension so if you do that, before you crawl underneath for anything, be sure to block up for safety. Airbags do occasionally fail with crushing effect.

Also in the tool bin under the drivers area. Open and look to the rear and up in the corner by the tank on the ceiling, there is a schrader valve right there that you can hook an air hose to that airs up the brakes when they toe an MCI.

A 1967 MCI 5 will be a single air system any Schrader fitting will air up the whole bus
