Hello all,
I haven't touched this issues since I stepped on the air horn foot button the day I took delivery of the bus 3 years ago and needed to use a screwdriver to pry it back up and turn it off.
So, what would be the best approach to fixing this. Is there a good way to lubricate it, or?

Is it a standard floor push button type? Like cars used to have for high beams & such?
If so, I purchased replacements from Luke at US Coach. Simple repair, inexpensive. (Less than $100 for 2) My favorite kind.

Those things are sealed pretty good I don't how you would lube it ,I replaced mine it is made by Bendix so it comes with a price around 60 bucks ,it is one Bendix valve you don't see a rebuild kit for

Yes a foot button about as if as a silver dollar. That's a thought. I wonder how you take it out. I've looked underneath and from above and not sure what the best procedure is.

Can you point me in the right direction for R&R. From above or below? It's baffling me.

On mine you had to remove housing that was bolted to the floor ,then remove the valve (2 bolts) from the housing yours may be different I had the turn signals there to

Sounds like my setup is similar to Cliff's. A couple of screws to remove. Then I pulled the assembly of wires out. Just a couple of wires. Spliced the new switch back in. My push button switches were for the turn signals, but I believe it is the same type switch (?).
I may have a picture or two if it is a help. Not 100% sure. If a help I will look around.

My turn signals were electric but by horn valve was air and the lines were hardened with age and were tough to remove I twisted 1 off and had to redo it to the horns ,some of D's had a horn control on the steering wheel with a electric over air solenoid at the bottom under the drivers window by the tool tray

I wish the air lines were a little longer and I could pull them through the hoe up top. Hopefully can contort myself to unhook from bottom.

Yes, 2 screws/bolts up top. By cutting zip ties and a clip holding air lines I can pull it up enough to unhook. Great.
Now I just need a new valve.

Mine was mounted in a bracket that bolted to floor and side wall once I finally got the screws lose you could turn the bracket to remove the air lines ,my valve had to be removed from the under the bracket the hole was just large enough for the button not the body of the valve your may be different mine was a foot rest also

Well, I got a new valve coming from Chris N. $80 including shipping.
Should be good to go then

That is too bad a of price ,I usually pay around 50 bucks for Bendix 228672N with shipping ,but they have probably increased in price from my last one
