I stumbled on some new surplus 24V relays rated at 10A (28VDC or 240VAC), low priced. These sound useful for the conversion, but without an immediate need, I'm not sure whether they'd just collect dust for the next 10 years.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,

Depends on what you mean by "low priced".
Are they octal pin relays? If so, that's what your bus uses for all but one relay. Nice to have spares.
If you are going to set up your low voltage electric system using relays, snatch them if they're under
$10. They don't go bad when sitting on the shelf. You'll still need bases, but those can be found
fairly cheap, also.
If you decide you don't want them, please email me the details. Those are the relays I use to build
toad converters for other MCI busnuts.

They are small and easy to store.
I have 2 or 3 spares from stripping some systems from my coach, but still bought 5 on ebay just to use for others systems being built. It make stocking spare relays simpler. Just one type for replacement on any circuit.
If they hadn't been cheap I would probably have passed on them.
If they are the cube relays, like mine, there are two different types. My relay board lid and repair manual have warnings to make sure and use the right one.

I like having relays around for replacements and for low voltage controls. I'd like to know where you found them, if you care to share!

These relays are $4 each (in high-valued Canadian dollars -- hard getting used to that concept -- so probably like US $4.04). They're sold in pairs and I thought they meant $2 ea. at first -- sorry Craig -- but it seemed like a good enough price to grab some anyway.
Thanks you for the comments. I'll post the link, but I wanted to be fair and give Craig a chance since he asked "real early" this morning and I'm just checking in "real late" at night. It's been a hectic day.

I didn't ask too much later, so don't forget about me! ;D

That's true. But I don't see your email address in your profile, so I'll post the link here:

Craig pointed out that these a SPST, which certainly limits the possibilities. I don't have to worry about the shipping cost, though, it still seemed like a good price.

These will work just fine for pumps, lights, etc. They're not the same as the OEM MCI relays, but they will still work for conversion stuff.
You might be able to find bases (or at least a part number) from digikey.com (http://digikey.com). Or, if spade terminals will fit the relay terminals, just hot glue them to a plastic cutting board and screw it to a wall and then hook wires up individually to the relays.
