ad says it's a 15KW POWER TECH DIESEL GEN, saw it at the e place, real expensive bluebird.  figure the gen is worth more than my whole bus!

Bluebird has been doing that since the 70's.

Well Len, now you've gone and spoiled everything, I thought I knew everything.  Never have looked at a bluebird before 'cept the guatemalen people movers with extra rows of seats and a 12" aisle.

I considered mounting my generator there, but it would have required moving considerable stuff in the compartment, and also the loss of the spare tire. Would have liked to put it there and save the bay space for other stuff, but finally decided against it.

Don't feel bad. I had a good idea once too. :)

My only "REAL" good idea was to always second guess my "good ideas" before I tried them....

Yeah, the 2nd guessing my "good ideas" makes sense except if I did that I wouldn't have this old bus.  BTW Zimtok I pm'ed you re some manual stuff, is your profile address good?

Western RV put the generator in front between the headlights on their Alpine RV coach.  Stick and staples and they are now auctioned off but nice application.

I was going to do the exact mounting on my transit, except when I saw the rather large C channels that held the heafty front bumper on that I would have to cut.  Instead I still put the generator (10kw Powertech) next to the driver's seat like a front engine, but have to service it from inside and installed it through the front door with a cherry picker.  Never regretted it.  Good Luck, TomC

Almost all S&S diesel pusher motorhomes of recent vintage have the generator on a slide between the headlights.  It would be unusual to see the generator elsewhere on a pusher.
