I pulled behind the El Capitan to use the rv dump facility and while i was there the water pump decided to let loose. Fortunately I had a new impeller and pump seal on board. About 3 hours or so and back on the road. Thank God for a simple fix. Spent more time running around town trying to find a tool to insert the seal than actually doing the repair.

I'm glad it was easy; all breakdowns should be easy to fix.
Take care.

I rebuilt the water pump with all new parts about a year and a half ago. when I installed it, it dripped for a few hundred miles then it stopped. So yes, having the parts on hand was a preemptive strike. I had ordered in the parts to replace when it was dripping, but once it stopped I just let it go. Guesse I should have replaced them anyway. Live and learn.
