I got a call from home last night telling me that a huge limb had fallen off a maple tree and it looked like it had hit my bus. When I got home in the morning I saw that I was very lucky...well sort of. The bus did get hit but the only damage so far is a marker light lens. Three cars were not so lucky. My van and Mercedes took a direct hit. It was not pretty. I still haven't gotten all of the lumber off them to find out how bad they are but I'm guessing they are totaled. My son's van was also there and was hit but not directly. It did suffer some damage.
Does anyone know where I can get marker light lenses for a MCI 5A with the original marker light fixture? I haven't had a chance to call MCI but I doubt they will stock something that old. Do I check Mohawk, Luke, IBP, or somewhere else?

Caylor Supply if used stuff will work.

Used is fine. The bus is not a show piece. Thanks.

Having a tree fall on my bus is a fear of mine since my bus is parked under a bunch of trees. I had a branch take out a marker light lens once, but my bus uses common market lights so I just went to the auto parts store and got a new one.
Another branch caused $3,000 in damage to my car. The dent wasn't real big, but quarter panel, hood, and windshield had to be replaced. it It was the neighbor's tree, but my insurance had to cover as they call it act of god or some such.

MCI does sell the marker lens, and they are cheap. I think that they are a bit different than the original though. I bought a couple last year. It looked to me that they were just like ones in a truck parts store, so you might even be able to get them locally. As I remember it, you have to open an account with MCI online and then do an online order.

Thank the good Lord, nobody was injured. Hopefully, the tree has liability insurance. If not, since it is a maple, you could send the bill to the Canadian goverment.
