Right down the road East of you and have a 91 40 foot Prevost insured for $85,000 with State Farm. Sent pictures of outside and inside to agent. Of course we have had the same agent forever. Doesn't hurt that we have house, bus barn and autos with him. Have used him many times with claims over the years and never has been a problem.

PS,
policy is around $450 a year.

Good luck!

Usually, it's the collision thats the problem. Try GMAC or what it is now or Alexander and Alexander through FMCA if you are a member. You'll also need an official appraisal from a firm recognized by the insurer of the value of the coach. Also keep the deductable higher than a car, maybe $1500 to $2500 or more. Good to have full glass coverage with no deductable, unless it is unusually high for that option.

Try Progressive Direct !! they are different than your local progressive agent.

A few years ago (maybe 4??), I had liability only on my bus with Nationwide.  NC, in it's infinite "we not only tax everything, we 'regulate' the h**l out of it" wisdom, set some stupid thing that caused Nationwide to drop either bus conversions or motorhomes (don't remember exactly what the letter said) -- of course, they would be happy to continue to take my money for car insurance but they were dropping the bus.  I went to Progressive, spent 45 minutes on the phone with them, and after answering every question in the world short of how tall my daughter's dog is and a few "I need to speak to my supervisor, can you hold?" delays, they said "we have decided not to offer you coverage".   I dunno if it was the NC thing or is my bus is "too unconventional" but Progressive turned me (one accident in 30 years and that was *being hit by a drunk running from the cops not my fault*) down flat.

Just my experience.   BH  NC   USA

I have Nationwide on my 4905, no collision; had collision also on the 4104, which my agent didn't realize was a bus conversion, and when I wanted to put  collision on the 4905, he said I would need to get an appraisal of it's value first. A couple of years ago, Nationwide moved our cycles and coach to separate policies from a different company or division of theirs.
