Hope you got those copper & brass piping sprayed with clear lacquer so they stay that way!  :)

Nice to see a job done right.

New hoses, new clamps, preventive maintenance clock on these items returned to zero.

happy coaching!

Nice and pretty. Until you drive it. Lol. Two strokes have a natural rust control system built in. Kinda makes it impractical for me to ever shine up my engine bay but more power to ya!

My 6V92 doesn't leak. A 2 stroke Detroit doesn't have to leak.

Our IL671 didn't leak in 10,000 miles except for the last couple 100 miles - the front main seal is being replaced now...

Did you check the oil level lately?   ;)

I know it's not a totally fair comparison to others with half a million (or more) miles on them, but this is what a DD 8V71 looks like with only 52,000 miles.

We have a bit of seepage in a couple of places, but that's really it.

We drive our bus 20,000 miles a year. I’m just happy to get the outside washed a couple times during the year. Glad you guys can hobby love your bus, but unfortunately I can’t.

With normal wear, crankcase pressure will gradually increase and start bypassing gaskets. A great deal of the of the coach engines here, especially 8V71's have a lot of wear or are in need of an overhaul. The thing is, they can run great, even worn out. Same with starting clean in cold\ cool weather.

Yeah I noticed the overspray too. Mine looked like this for a few days until I drove it across country.
