Well, Its true on all counts, But,  I have found a Very sweet lady, One that has been friends with us (my sweet departed wife and I ) for 5 years.. We have been going to dinners and stuff with friends and it has turned out we have a LOT in common..  She wants to go to Arkansas with me and I want her to go as well..
I cant tell you how Happy she makes me, and I her.
Im going to Tucson to see a Bus this weekend.

Congratulations on both counts. I really hate to think what I would without my other half.

For most of us, without our wives we would only be half of a man.

No matter how we would complain, there is a reason they are our better halves.

Paul, I'm glad to see you are happy.

Merry Christmas to you and the lady.

Paul, I wasn't lucky enough to have met your wife but I bet she would be very happy to know that you have found someone that makes you happy.  I am sure she would understand how lonely you were and how much happiness this lady has brought you.  Since you were both friends of hers already you know it is someone she would approve of.  Who knows, maybe in someway she planned it.  Best of luck to you both.  Merry Christmas!

Paul,
When my mother-in-law died at age 52, my father-in-law started dating another woman (who he later married) several months after my mother-in-laws death. At first, my wife was upset that he was dating "so soon".  I asked my wife how long would she consider long enough before dating? She did not have an answer.  I told her that her mom & dad had a great marriage and spent all their time together when not working and that I was sure her father was very lonely by himself. I also told her that I am sure her mother would not want her father to be feeling lonely and if their marriage had not been good, he would not be anxious to get into another relationship. He has now been married to her stepmother almost 20 years.
Do not feel bad about entering a new relationship, marriage vows say until death do us part.  Although it gives me cold chills to even think of anything happening to Paula, I know I would be very lonesome by myself.
Merry Christmas to both of you and good luck with the bus you are going to look at. I hope it will be what you are looking for.  Jack

Before I married my wife, I took her on a 4 day trip in the bus to Morro Bay, which she thankfully loved.  And also on a 10 day cruise, which she also loved.  With my two real unanswered questions answered, we have been married now for only 4 1/2 years, but can't imagine us apart.  It's wonderful when you have a truly nice, kind, partner (I don't think my wife has a mean bone in her body, and never is bitchy) that really wants to be with you all the time.  Good Luck, TomC

And what about the bus!  Why is everyone ignoring her?

Paul,

You do not have to be worried about what people think regarding your new found relationship. The most important thing is what you both feel for each other. I was fortunate to have met my wife after a nasty divorce. I don't know what I would do without her. She is the best thing that has ever happened to me, and she loves busin'. What more can a guy ask for.

Good Luck and God Bless,

Paul

Geez, Lin, I did say, "Merry Christmas to you and the lady."

I was talking about the bus! ;)

I know Paul and his new found partner are gonna have a merry happy and a Christmassy Newyear!

Now Paul is gonna be like a kid with a new washing machine box and a new bicycle.......... which to play with first!

I lost my first wife after 30 years of marriage - she was only 50 and I was 52.  She was a very brittle diabetic and was on Dialysis for a number of years - we even full timed RV'ed across the country going from one Dialysis center to another.

She was a remarkable woman - managed to do in 50 short years what would have taken others  a 100 years or more.

She was ABSOLUTELY adamant that I should not wait to get married again - She know that I was not meant to live alone -
She even went as far as making a list of eligible candidates  for me for after she passed away.

MEN WHO ARE THE PRODUCT OF A GOOD MARRIAGE - seek another life partner very soon after they loss there wife.

Within less than a year - I was dating and was fortunate enough to have LIGHTNING STRIKE TWICE - Janice (a widow) and I have been married now for 7 years - My son was the best man at our wedding.

It doesn't matter what others may think - (they're wrong) -  DO WHAT YOUR HEART TELLS YOU -

Good Luck / God Bless / Merry Christmas

Paul:
Congratulations.  I have also met a wonderful lady after 3 years of being alone.  It is amazing how many people we both know and yet we never met.  She lost her husband in Dec 06 due to lung cancer.  She called the American Legion and wanted to  find a single man to ride Harley's with and I was the lucky guy available.  She loves the bus, even though she has never done any MotorHoming or Bussing.  She also loves to ride.  Funny thing is both women who have meant so much to me and I loved one for 40 years and now her I met riding Harley's.
Merry Christmas to you and her.
