Quick and dirty, a test light to the starter solenoid and then starter, looking for it to illuminate for a start attempt, at least confirm or deny that power is getting there.

Chasing the wrong squirrel up the wrong tree just risks breaking something unrelated, and then you still have the underlying no start, and a bigger pile of dung...

Everything a busnut touches, turns into more trouble...

When you get tired of the noise, Donaldson makes a 5" oval with inlet and outlet on the same side for turbo engines. Check out Donaldson muffler M120131. I used it on my 8V-71 turbo and now have it on my 3406B I liked it so much. Good Luck, TomC

2,050 torque is great-only problem is it is a Cummins (LOL). Especially Good Luck with that, TomC

The batteries are new and are 25 volts.  Is there a way to bypass or test the master relay?

If your batteries are at 24 volts, they are low. Should be 25.2 or better...

There is the option of just having double bunks instead of triple, but the real test is how each child reacts to the space. Being able to sit up without bending the neck is good, but in reality there is not always enough space for that. In entertainer buses for adults you have to roll in and forget about sitting up. In a old RV that I had decades ago, I put small awning type windows in each bunk so that the children could see out. That helped with the claustrophobic issue, but did not satisfy everyone.

I thought it 2000 . Maybe I am wrong. My engine is a dec ‘99 manufacture date!

My transplant engine came out of a 2002 and it is non egr. It was however a multiplex bus and mine is not so I did have to reprogram some parameters in the DDEC.

Thats why I suggested a travel trailer or sticks and staples motorhome.. They already figured out the space necessary for each child. Probably meets RVIA standards.

If at all possible, mock up the spacing using whatever is lying around, boards, sticks, bricks, scraps... and have the intended sleepers try the space for size, before you start building stuff for real...

Saved me a ton of grief, 2 kids tried and said "no way" and the 3rd one wouldn't even go up there...

It isn't so much a measuring tape exercise as a claustrophobia exercise.

I have two buses. One is a series 60 DL3 the other is a 102c3 with a 6v92 MUI.  That is the one that I'm working on.  I have checked the shifter is in neutral.  I cleaned all the connections in the battery bay.  I will clean the connections on the starter tomorrow.  I am concerned about the switches and the fact that the master switch doesn't flip the master control relay. Nor does it turn on the gauges and the buzzer seems like it's blowing a CB.

Have you run a multi meter on the pos and neg going to the starter to see if you have enough power if any?
It sounds like you don't have the sensor on yours probably only on older buses as is the flapper in the air intake.

Your profile says series 60 and the above says 6V72 so I would think you mean either 6V92 or 6V71

Just thought I would ask is the shifter in Neutral when you are trying to start it?

Start looking for grounds from the starter and take them off and clean and replace them both ends. Then try again.
