644 throttle valve cable adjustment????

hi does anybody know the adjustment on the tv cable on a 644 with a 871, also looking for a 644 dip stick and tube, or the lengh of tube before the bend  that goes in to the pan

on anybodys 644, also dipstick lengh, thanks

The total overall length of my dipstick for the 644 is 41 & 1/2  inches.

Kerry,  a while back i emailed you with a question and never got an answer and then later discovered that for some reason even though it said it was sent to you it ended up in a file in my computer that i found by accident. So my question here on the board is..... did you get the 2 replies that i sent in regards to the email that you sent to me this morning?  I thought that i might hear back from you.....so now i am wondering if they ever went out.  Gonna poke around and see if they ended up in that file again.......if i can remember where it was!

Ken, are we talking about the modulator adjustment here, as far as the dipstick length put it anywhere you like for easy checking I saw them from 1 ft to 8 ft  a cab over truck  is a good resource to get a dipstick then you can make it any length to suit you     good luck

luvrbus, do you know what leval the trans fliud is , thats my big problem, all i got was the elbow comming out of the pan, no tube or stick, so i need to know how high the fluid comes up the stick to read full,thanks ,                                                                                                                   ED  , no i did not recieve the e mails, my regular email is mccarlk@hotmail.com, thanks again

Ken, there is a pipe plug on the side of the transmission for checking the level fill till it runs outs that will be your safe start after starting and warm up remove it again and fill till overflow and that will be your correct level, then adjust your dipstick to that level depending on what oil pan you have it is going to be around 5 or 6 gals on the 644     good luck

Ken, i forgot to tell you on the final fill do it with engine running and in park oil will not come out the opening till you fill it full. On the TV cable if you are talking about the modulator adjust it to be open at full throttle not a science do you have a bracket on the throttle cable to attach it to.this for a manual throttle are you using a air?   good luck

yes manual throttle, so at wide open throttle have the mod cable at max, correct?
