I will hopefully be getting started on my Eagle in the next couple of weeks and I think I have a pretty good plan laid out.  I'm not quite sure if I should buy my furniture, or build it myself.  I think the cost will be about the same because I will have to pay someone to cover the seats anyway.
My plan is this,
Driver side be:
6 foot couch, 6 foot booth, 6 foot galley, 6 foot bunks, 1 foot allowed for bunk walls, rear lounge about 8 feet
Entry side:
3 foot Chair, 6 foot couch, 2 foot tall cabinet, 7 Foot Bathroom with shower, 6 foot bunks, 1 foot for bunk walls, rear lounge about 8 feet
This is my first go at this type of thing.  Just wondering if this sounds like a good plan, or if it sounds a bit too cramped.
I plan on using the bus for my band and for road trips with my family.

Lay it out on the floor, use blue masking tape to mark off everything, measure carefully as when you start building things tend to grow. Build cardboard mock ups to get a real good idea on fit.

I had a floor plan laid out after I stripped the interior, marked the floors and went to work. It came out pretty close to the original, did make a few minor changes though.

This step is pretty important so you must play around with ideas before you get to work.

Only you will know if it will work or not, every one's ideas are different. That's why we do it "Our Way".

I didn't see any space mentioned for a refrigerator in there. Also are you going to have any electrical panels upstairs or will all of that be in the bays?

Will the toilet be above a bay for access to the black water tank?  That aspect is what helped me lay out the bathroom, then the walls, then the tub/shower (will it drop into the same bay or need a run?).  Keep looking at the mechanical aspect of your bus and let it guide you through your layout.  Where do you plan to put your hot water heater?  In a bay or under a cabinet?  What a about heat?  Do you plan to keep the original bus heat for over the road?  I took mine out, put in a more practical unit under my couch.  What do you plan to do for heat when parked?  Are you going to have propane furnaces?  Will they be in bays or under cabinets?  See what I mean?  Paul is absolutely right.  Tape it off, build cardboard mock ups.  VERY importantly - Show on your inside floor where the walls of your baggage bays are so that you can plan your mechanical layout.  You will find right away that everything is a bus is a compromise.  If space really becomes an issue, do some searches on how to build very strong but thin walls.  You don't have to use 2x4's in all walls.  Good luck and keep us posted!

I was not going to have a full Galley.  It is going to be a 2 ft wide 6 cu. ft Ref with a microwave above. then 4 ft of cabinet space.  I do plan on wiring and running gas lines in the bunk area on the galley side to expand the galley in the future for when my band days are done.

If all goes according to plan, most of the plumbing will be going into 1 bay.  I plan on putting the hot water heater in the front bay on the opposite side of the 17kw generator.  The bus has four roof airs with heat coils in it.  I don't really know how much heat these will throw.  If more heat is needed, I had planned on prewiring for electric back up heat.  I had planned on using the bottom of the 2 foot wide full height cabinet for mechanical switches. 
It looks like there is a spot back by the engine where the original Eagle holding tank was.  I would like to put an LP tank back there and run pipe to the front bay for a slide out grill.  I think this will be the only thing on the bus that will use LP.  I had planned on using a regular Ref and hot water heater.  I know this is not the best thing to do, but I think it will serve my purpose well.
The back bay is full of what I think is the huge coach air and heat.  I plan on taking that out for more storage.

I am really flying blind here, and I do appreciate all the help!

If the coach air is working I would consider leaving that in. Otherwise you will have to run the genny to cool the coach on the road.


A/C heat strips, I only have experience with older units, they will work very slightly. More like moving not so warm air, not hot air. I would add the electric heat like you said.

If you are only going to have LP for the grill, I would just carry an exchangeable tank like you see in front of WM. Keep the connection very short to minimize the distance.
