4104 Owners in the Nashville Area
« on: February 26, 2012, 05:04:31 PM »
Are there any 4104 owners in the Nashville area?  (Maybe 4106 owners, too, who've had this problem.)

I got a call today from a fellow busnut who has a '54 model, and is having throttle linkage problems - to the point the coach is a driveway queen right now.

Engine starts and revs fine by manipulating the throttle lever by hand.

Front throttle pedal is spongy with no engine response to pedal position.

He told me the coach ran really well on their last trip, except for the last couple hundred miles on the way home, when the throttle started going wonka.

I'm guessing a problem somewhere between the back baggage bay's rear wall and the engine bulkhead, perhaps that steel tubing has failed.

He's gonna call Luke this week for some ideas, but I thought if there's a fellow busnut close, the extra pair of eyes and hands would be helpful.

If you can PM me, I'll forward his phone number to you.  Simply click on the envelope button under my avatar on the left to reach the PM screen.

TIA!!

RJ
