Ceramic exhaust coating and some pretty things!

I had the manifolds and pipes ceramic coated as a method of heat rejection.  Since I had the valve covers off, I took them to my local powder coat shop. Waiting on some small parts to arrive and to test the Jake solenoids before covering stuff up.

Those are some awfully pretty parts.

I will be interested in how the ceramic manifold coatings hold up.
I had a set of Long tube headers for a Small Block chevy Ceramic coated quite a few years ago, after a year or two you could not even tell they had been coated.

I want to see pictures after all those parts are installed (Detroit Diesel porn).

This is about where I am at now. Waiting on those elusive V-band exhaust clamps to arrive. I was told the ceramic coating lasts about 5-7 years. The insulation blankets are still going back on. My goals were to keep any pipe corrosion at bay and add more heat rejection.

The coating last awhile on cast iron ,it does good on headers if you sand blast before coating. I had the covers on my maniflods,turbo pipes and turbo housing to  keep the heat out of the bedroom. Ceramic coating should help with rust the blankets cause ,I never could see any difference in performance with the blankets off or on with my 8V92 in my Eagle.The after cooler under the blower really sucks on a 8v92,I did away with my 3 pass cooler and went to the 5 pass cooler and could tell the difference, I wished I had the space and I would have tossed it and went with a intercooler like we did on Don Smith's 8v92 it really came to life and ran cooler
