Was the 25 the one made in Mexico? It's too bad as there was a startup company looking to bring the Eagle name back in the mid 2000's. I love Eagles. My only fear is the Torsilastic suspension on the ones I did go look at locally. One was really down low and the shackles were all rotted out.

No the 25 was made in Brownsville Texas you can buy it since it's for sale

Busnit, take a look at Wanderlodges. They are buses and were converted into motor homes from the factory. But, the best thing it they have a very active forum, just like this one. If you have a problem, someone on there can tell you how to fix it.

The Torsilastic tubes and shackles are available new at Sulastic in Texas, and the ride height can be adjusted (if there are threads left). Donor Torsilastics from salvage buses can work for years if there is enough life left. If you love Eagles, you owe it to yourself to investigate them further. Check the Eagles International website for lots of information. The one Model 25 is for sale at a high price, but in my opinion it is ugly and not like the previous models.

I did look at wanderlodges. Love them but none in my price range. There was one in Mesa for 35k for a '92 but it needed extensive repairs that I did not want to deal with on top of it needing an interior update. (Pastel colors do not float my boat!)

I searched Sulastic but each part was $2500 plus shipping. I am the kind of guy that would replace all sections and that would easily wipe out any money left for interior updates. There is a '93 Newell that I am working on closing the deal on Saturday if it does well on the test drive. My initial inspection gave me a very good feeling about it and the seller came down from 67k to 52. Newer Michelin tires and one year old batteries. Interior needs a mild refresh. (Carpet, upholstery and trim) Exterior is in very good condition as far as paint goes and there are no dings or dents on the body. Dual pane windows are a plus as is the basement is spray foamed.

Go for the Newell you don't want to get involved on changing the suspension on a Eagle and no one makes the torque tubes for the bogie axle and you cannot buy dropbox parts anylonger for one,in its day it was the best bus ever made I owned one for years and loved it preferred it over my 1997 Prevost I bought new

Newell is probably near the top of the ground-up built motorhome companies. You will surely have far better chances of finding a used Newell that has been well cared for and in solid condition than searching around for nonfactory bus conversion.


Newell also makes every coach to order and their documentation is unsurpassed. Plus the community is super engaged. They all talk about coaches by serial number, they are very rare and special.



There are super high-end motorhomes built on bus chassis from the factory and those are also most likely built very well and well take care of. With some of them going for one to two million dollars you can be they were pampered for some portion of their lives.

If the Newell deal fall through don't over look the Vouge V 5000 model they were all built in house in Pryor OK from the ground up with big engines like the 3406 Cat they never put a 2 stroke in the V 5000 models the other models built on the Crown chassis are not bad either
