A Good Place to Locate Tranny Cooler?
« on: July 10, 2020, 10:45:34 PM »
In reading several posts from another subject on tranny coolers, Scott and Heather mentioned that they installed a Haden HDA 2305 transmission cooler "in the floor of the engine compartment". I have been trying to figure out that means. I am ordering the cooler, but I'm not sure the best place to install it. I'll need to get a fan for it as well.

Does it need to face the exterior in the place of the access door on the driver's side? Would installing it in the engine area below the floor of the bus and to the rear of the engine work? There are lots of openings to the exterior in the compartment, so it seems like it would still get a lot of air.

One more question: what fan would be the best for it?

Thanks all. I'm ready to take the leap into this cooler, so any help is appreciated. Glennman
