I have an L10 but it is only rated at 275 horse if I remember correctly.  I could look it up but I don't have the paperwork here.  It was installed by Gary from B&B coachworks.  He had several of them back then but that was years ago.  He does not check this board but Van does and he may know if Gary still has them about. If I remember correctly the configuration of the ones he had worked the best because they came out of city buses.  I have R&R'd mine one time to take the transmission to Harbor Diesel to have it gone through.  I can not tell you what it took to do the change over because I did not do that part.  I would call Gary or PM Van to see what B&B has about in L10s and what they are worth before making any commitment to a two stroke.  My L10 is solid as a rock.  If you do decide to go this way PM me and I will tell give you a heads up on some things to do and I have a written detailed list of the removal and reinstall however as mentioned it is from after the changeover.

Van,

Thanks for the note BUT I have the build sheet and all the paperwork for my engine and transmission in a folder in the bus.  I don't need to go look it up for me BUT if someone else wants the information I would be happy to get it for them.  Gary and Dan did a great job for me too bad that Dan is no longer here.  I was just offering information for Larry because my L10 has been so reliable.  As Clifford has noted the L10 is not a race engine but even here in the mountains it is rock solid.  I have even been over Tennessee pass in Colorado moving slow but sure up and taking my time going down.  I get about 5 to 7,000 miles a year on it and as Clifford also noted it does not burn oil but does leak some. I am happy with it and have had it for over 10 years.  If we head west sometime I will see if we can connect. Take care Van.

If he is just looking for power the 8V92 TA fits into the MCI with only a cradle and piping change he can be in the 450 to 475 hp range fairly easy

Thanks for all the info I think the best thing for me right now is to put another 6v92t back in. I worked on 6v92t in the Army I know there good engines and I can do all the service as well. Since this is my first Bus better keep expenses down, and not get in over my head, got a good price  on replacement engine,  so thanks for all your responses
