The Transit Museum Society – A Mobile Bus Museum
« on: May 11, 2024, 06:42:00 AM »
The article follows the journey of a transit enthusiast who fulfilled his dream of owning a bus and sharing adventures across Canada and the U.S. with his beloved converted GM PD-4108 coach. As the bus aged, the author reflects on their experiences and the decision to let it go.

Transitioning to the present, the article discusses the author's involvement with a non-profit Transit Museum Society in British Columbia, operating a popular mobile museum housed in a 1957 GM "Old Look" bus.

With the current mobile museum aging, the society plans to convert a 1982 GM "New Look" bus into a modern mobile museum, integrating interactive displays and new battery technology for sustainability.

Because of financial challenges, the society seeks donations and membership support to realize its vision of preserving and celebrating transit history.
