And I was disappointed over on the BNO board that John did not like our board.I think he makes some very interesting posts.  FF didn't either but he has always been against having to log in.

I noticed the lack of FF over here.  I don't understand what the problems are people have with the new board.  It is 100% more functional than the old one.  The old one was absolute junk in my opinion.  Having to click on every message in a thread to read them was a pain and the constant restores because of spammers caused threads to get all screwed up.

FF didn't like giving out his email, but he did register.  The login only has to be done once per computer, so that shouldn't be an issue.  I did see complaints about speed on the new MAK board and that may be the real reason some people quit.  It is jack rabbit quick for me, but I haven't used dial-up regularly since 1995 or so.

Something is screwed up with the changes IAN made over on BNO, because page loading is much slower even on broadband.

After awhile, I wouldn't post and seldom even read the old MAK board because it was such a pain to click each header. The new software here is like night and day. AND now it's moderated by you wonderful volunteers.

Hats off to MAK and the gang, plus all of you knowlegable busnuts.

This is a great board! Now I can see what I was missing.

This is a wonderful board.  Lots of bus stuff, but also lots of other good stuff.  That's what I like about it.  There's more to life than buses;*&$^%$*alkjdshlkjhalkh

The problem that I have with the board is that when I come in of a morning there are so many posts it takes me half a day to read them all! LOL.  I really believe we are getting at least 50% more posts than BNO.

As I recently said and will say again (I could care less if FF or JtNG disagree or not!) We now have the best board there is for bus converters (or nuts which ever you prefer to call yourself!)! Yes I agree the old board was somewhat of a pain, but the main improvement is the absence of the PORN crap ! BK!

You are right Dallas. My apologies Jack. Your computer is not slow. I just checked the current post and did not catch that Jacks had been earlier. I was wondering how I could be over 1,000 posts and he had not got to that number yet and that somebody would explain how that happened. LOL

What I really do not understand now is how I missed that post when he made it. I read every post and generally within an hour or two after it is posted. Maybe it is my Alzheimer's again. Note I said mine to make sure there is no misunderstanding again.

Richard,
I've noticed that sometimes new posts don't show up in the "Show Unread Posts" section.
Even after you've finished that and gone to the next one that says "unread messages" some posts don't show up.
I've gotten to the point that I check all the posts when I'm done with those.
I don't know why it does that, maybe have to ask Phil!

I don't think I'd worry about your Alzheimers, you still seem as sharp as a minnows Pe*er too me!

Oh Boy, now I'm gonna catch it!

You know Dallas, I never thought of that. I really could not imagine how I had missed Jack's post. Maybe it never had the little blue "whatever" thingie. Wonder how many other posts I may have missed?

Sometimes when i am reading the "show unread  posts since last visit" section, I get called away, and then when I come back I click on the show unread posts again, so as to capture any new ones that have appeared in my abasence.  Then to my surprise, most of the ones I still have not read disappear, and I am forced to go back to the home section and scroll down looking.  It has happened this way since inception, and it would be nice to have it fixed.

My only complaint for an otherwise great board!!!
