Prevost Dashboards
« on: March 12, 2009, 06:31:02 PM »
Hi Folks
I am ready to replace the old tour bus dashboard with a motorhome looking dash in my LeMirage XL. I am aware of Custom Instrument Panel and it's website. I don't care for the Prevost dash they have as it is old style. I would like something more modern. Does anyone know of another company who can make a dash? Has anyone on the board made their own and would be willing to walk a novice through the process? Has anyone seen a dash at a surplus store/junk yard or some other source I am not thinking about?

Thanks

Rob

There is someone on the BNO classified selling Monaco dashes.

If your talented with wood, build your own out of 1/4 inch quality plywood the way you want and then fiberglass the whole thing, give it several good coats of epoxy and then sand it down smooth and either cover it with vinyl or a good coat of automotive lacquer. This is what I am going to do on my Prevost when I change the dash board. When you buy, your stuck with their design, that's why we are Bus Nuts, we do it our way.

This is what I installed in my Prevost. It out of a 1996 NaviStar 9200. Cost me $100 with all the gauges and switchs and wiring harness.

Bontragers and RV Surplus in elkhart both had several dashes, no idea what they were for but they were nice looking.
