Towing 2008/2009 Ford Taurus X
« on: August 26, 2009, 05:11:41 PM »
I am thinking of getting a new tow car.  Has anyone on the board towed a 2008/2009 Ford Taurus X four-wheels down?  The towing guides says it is towable, but they put a 65 mph speed limit on this vehicle.

Even if you don't tow this vehicle does anyone have driving impressions on this SUV crossover?  So far this is one of the few cars that will haul all of our sound equipment and instruments including my upright bass and doesn't weigh an excessive amount.

We have a 2003 Toyota P/U with a shell that we tow now, but the problem is I can not make the shell area dust and water tight.

Thanks for your input.

The AWD model can not be towed.
The FWD model can be towed on a dollie. :(
It has a CVT trans.
