Tampa RV Show
« on: January 14, 2010, 06:14:44 AM »
The Tampa RV show is in progress. It started yesterday and runs until the 17th. Costs $5. to park and $8. to get in, or $7. if you're an old geezer like me. They do give you tickets for 2 days for that price though. You'd probably need 2 days to see everything. There are 2 large buildings full of vendors and acres and acres of campers to check out. I would guess at least 50 RV resorts are represented there giving away free camping nights, so it would be worth the visit for that alone. Be careful of the floating restaurant though. The beer costs $6. and hot dogs and hamburgers are $9. It's the largest RV show I've ever seen. Pretty cheap entertainment for a day or two.

That is cheap, We just went to the Pittsburgh RV show last weekend and paid $10.00 to park and $10.00 each to get in, and we were done in 2 1/2hrs. There was only about 10 motor home's and the were not big $ ones and a few 5th wheels the rest were trailers. It was a major disappointment. Have fun Jason

the Tampa super show is in Tampa, of course.  Should i also mention florida?  just south of Georgia which is just SE of Tennessee? ;D ;D

They had a number of fancy new Prevost coaches.  lots of lights, mirrors and shiny skin.

Jason, if you think that is a small rv show, you should see ours! It is held each spring and is in the walmart parking lot. It usually consist of about 8 or 9 motor homes, a few trailers, and sometimes a few spas thrown in the mix.  ;D And the big plus, it is FREE. ::) I guess it is entertainment for a small little town with not much else to do, lol. We have been in Florida before when the show was going on. It is really nice, and a good place to get ideas.
Mixed up Dina, ready for the road as of 12/25/2010
