Really, I would think the authorities in Texas would have enought on their plate they could be doing without worrying about Willie Nelson smoking a little dope....And yes I know it is illegal but I really don't think he is going to stop or check himself into rehab any time soon...

I was thinking about that earlier today Rick, maybe a presidential lifetime free pass/stay out of jail card for Willie and his dope smoking. ;)

Let me state my bias first.  I do not use drugs, which includes any alcohol or even caffeine.  Therefore, I consider myself as uninvolved in the subject as one could be.  This countries drug policies are absolutely moronic!  By my standards, the laws are made by a bunch of self-righteous alcoholics who have a pseudo religious fanatic belief that their recreational drug of choice is somehow more noble than other's.  The War on Drugs was lost along time ago.  It is time for the thugs in the DEA to be reassigned to some useful law enforcement work.

Can you imagine what a jerk that Border Patrol guy would have to be to turn in Willie Nelson, or anyone else for that matter, over weed?  We would be better off if he went back to his old job at Walmart or some fake food place.
You don't have to believe everything you think.

Lin,
I agree completely but it is a lost cause.  There is just as much money being made in the war on drugs as there is in the drugs.  It is a business unto itself.

2500.00 for 6 ounces is a little steep eh? When they are done they will be able to buy a new fountain for town square. Or maybe a new chair for the chief!

I know that If the head lines had read    Willie's bus was searched and no pot was found,   I'd really be worried.
