Glad I'm not heading to Arcadia today!
« on: December 11, 2010, 08:27:54 AM »
If today was departure day for Arcadia I wouldn't be leaving.  8" of snow in my driveway already and up to 10" more predicted.  I cleared out the bottom of my driveway and my snowblower was struggling already.

The MNDOT has pulled all plows off the road outside of the metro area due to wind.  No point in plowing if it fills in 10 minutes later.

I need to take the time this weekend to get all my stuff prepped and packed for Arcadia.  Luckily I got the air dryer all reconnected last night.

We are having a Mn storm up here, up to about 16 inches of snow and 35 mph winds, below zero temps and wind chills down to 30 below.  Oh well furnace is working and I think there is a nap in my immediate future.

London Ontario, about an hour west of where I live, has gotten 165 cm or more of snow in the past week or so.  That's 65", or almost five and a half feet.  In Southern Ontario...

I haven't gotten any yet.

Rainy and warm, well warm for here at 36 degrees... Just north of Niagara Falls. The rain melted the small amt of snow we had. Leaving for Acadia on the 25th (without bus, unfortunately)...

This morning it was sunny and warm around 60 while brousing the deals at the flea market then after Breakfast, we came out and it was getting windy and dark to the north. It wasn't long after we got home that the rains came and it was a cold rain. Lasted about an hour or more on and off but now has quit as darkness is upon us.
A lazy sort of day but it got me started on my outside entertainment center for the bay! Got my materials and some new tools to work with since my Dewalt's were all but used up after using them to convert our bus. I figure since were not done, need new tools to keep the progress going!
Anyway, it's clear and chilly but supposed to get pretty cold the next few days with a freeze warning in affect!

Anyone coming to Arcadia, you might bring HEAT such as wood, LP, paper, trash, charcoal or anything that burns etc etc.   ;D

Yep 73 degrees in Cornville AZ, I needed to finish my paper work and billing for my newspaper distributorship but what the heck a friend called and said do you want to ride? One nano second later we were getting dressed pulled the Harley Trike out of the garage and went for a ride.  Although it is still real nice outside we came home so I could get the billing done, I like to get PAID.
We in Arizona have been real lucky this year as far as the weather goes. We are taking advantage of it and riding as much possible.

I froze my (you know)'s off last spring in sunny Florida. I think it's supposed to be warmer in Nebraska next week than Florida. It's 70 degrees in my shop with no wind right now. I think me and the wife may spend the winter there!!! :D
