We had decided not to tow the truck the first day until Don got used to the bus. As it turned out it saved our truck. We were tooling east on I-10 in good weather. I was leading Don down the road piloting for pit stops. All of a sudden a huge gust of wind hit the truck and pushed me from the slow lane into the fast lane. I got on the walky talky and screamed WIND !! At which time the gust hit the bus. The front end flew over the lane line and the rear ended up in the fast lane. Lucky there wasn't any car there. The window awnings on the off side of the gust came flying out, flopped around and sucked back up to the bus. After Don got it back under control we pulled over to see if we still had awnings. All the wind was gone again. If we had been towing the truck it probably would have whipped the truck loose from the bus. It took a little bit of recovery time from that one.
