Central Texas Spring Rally
«

Hello All,
I was curious if any one would be interested in a Bus Rally at the end of March. Looking at having it at Lake Somerville, which is north of Brenham Texas. One of the State Parks has been redone and should make a good location. I dont have alot of details worked out but if there is any interest I could make it happen. Let me know what yall think.

Jeff, Becky and I can't make it. We are in Vancouver, WA for several more months.
That would have been a fun one to go to. Hopefully Richard and Missy will see this and show up.
Y'all have fun! Say Hi to Darlene for us!

That is an absolutely stunning area of the country to be in that time of year - the wildflowers should be in full bloom! If the rally goes on, and we happen to be passing by that area - we'd love to stop in. But, unfortunately, don't know what our plans hold yet as we'll be in FL anxiously awaiting my dad's test results through at least mid-March. If all is clear, then central TX is at the top of our list for springtime.

Jeff,
You know Missy & Me will be there. You'd think there are more busnut in Texas and surrounding states that could make it. Throw a blanket on the floor an come on. How many spaces can we get?

Having a bus rally somewhere in the world I can get to would be awesome.
Count me in if time and busyness will permit the break, especially good at the end of March.
Thank you

WOW! That's almost in my backyard. With the recent rains the wild flowers should be outstanding this year.Sounds like a perfect way to ring in the spring.

Is the place you are talking about Lake Summerville state park? The spot is only about 100 miles away. We have four kids that would be traveling with us (ages 2.5 to 15). We have never been to a bus rally, but they sound interesting. Would this be a kids friendly event?

TxJeff, count me in... please firm up the dates and save us a spot.. How is this going to work? Are you handling the spaces or do we need to contact the park directly?

Looks like there is interest in having the rally. I will start to work out the detail and post as they become available.
RnMAdventures, the spot is at Lake Somerville just north of Brenham, and yes it is a kid friendly event.
Dreamscape, hope all is well with you and Becky, hopefully we can get together when yall return to our part of the world.
