Talked to a 4104 owner in Canada today. He has a 1959 coach with:
R & M Caps
Remco mirrors
Electric wipers
Air throttle
Added a Turbo to his 671

Cant wait to see the pictures on this rig.

4104-4646 is alive and well. Should be hitting the road soon as a conversion. That BCM ad still getting me VIN's.

Can someone refresh my memory. What was the total number made? Total number known to be alive and their status? Converted? Seated? Other?

All that info is in his previous posts. Just go back a couple pages and check them out. I don't think he broke down the different combos....stock, conversion, original engine, turbo, std or auto, etc., unless they are laid out on a spread sheet.

Scott and everyone else,

Off the top of my head.

5,065 made from 1953-1960.

So far I have received info on 12 still seated coaches.

At least 300 converted coaches.

Been a little lax in posting, my laptop died so I am working a lot of overtime.

And thanks to requests on 6 websites, I get a new VIN every month.

With holidays coming will post more.

So there are currently only 312 known to be in existence? Would this make our buses worth more as a rare collectors model?

Older Eagles and MCI's will become rarer than GMC's because they'll rust away to just a few left. For 4104's to be rare, there would need to be only a few left. Probably a better chance on a scenicruiser or MC-6.

November 16, 2013 Update.

295 Converted coaches
  37 Noted on the web
  16 Still a coach

This equals 348 buses alive and well.

Now have VINs for 33 recycled coaches.
