Your Chance to Steal Bernie's 1986 Eagle 10S
« on: April 17, 2012, 10:22:33 AM »
Just FYI, Bernie's up in Quakertown, PA has an '86 Eagle 10S shell - rebuilt chassie, engine/trans in '09 driven very little since, price lowered from $17K to $6K, will go to scrap.  I've seen this one in person, seems like a pretty nice bus, definite steal at this price (if you want an Eagle!).  Please call them at 215-679-8943; they have pictures.

That bus would be an absolute steal at 6k.  When we looked at it he was asking 17 and for a little bit more we got a bus that was already converted with generator, webasto and a bunch of other upgrades.  The previous owner of this one had started converting and never finished.

Some of the pictures here on their facebook page - http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.379327887076.170443.285723492076&type=3

Has anyone one here looked at this bus?  I would be mostly concerned about rust issues.  Also, who would I talk to about getting it delivered to GA?

KT, the original poster said; "I've seen this one in person, seems like a pretty nice bus".  Also, Seangie says he saw it.

You might try contacting them.  From the pictures it does look like a great deal.  Hope that you can make it work out for you.

Hi KT -

I'm here - just PM me if you have any specific questions.  I also encourage you to call Bernie's at the number I'd listed above, they are very good to deal with, and Bernie knows his stuff.  I have seen the bus, although I have not looked at the chassis underneath - Bernie might be amenable to getting it up in the air and either he or I shooting pictures for you.  I know he wants to find a home for it.

I live about 20-30 minutes south of Quakertown.  I would not mind driving that bus to GA (although I do have a regular job I'd have to work around!) if that would work out - I do need a flight back, though!

Take care,
Brad
